Bangalore Space Expo 2008

September 7, 2008 – 10:43 pm

CII in association with ISRO and its marketing arm Antrix is organizing India’s first space exposition in Bangalore from 29th November to 1st December 2008. The two day expo will feature latest technology, products and ideas from various international space agencies, companies etc on space science, space application, infrastructure etc. A concurrent two day international conference “Word Space - Biz” would be organized to highlight the achievements of the space industry and to discuss its future requirements and deliberate on commercialisation of space.

So now how commercialisation will take place apart from one space agency taking orders from another? To do that there should be involvement of general public like NASA and Russian space agency “ROSCOSMOS” do by sending civilians on space tour. This earns them good money and has potential of being huge revenue earner in future. So commercialisation will come to an end at this? I feel it will be apt to say commercialisation when we will bring minerals from another planet or satellite to earth for mass consumption. The ultimate commercialisation of space will happen when man will colonize another planet for use.
