Bangalore Techie Kills Wife and Hangs Himself

A tragic end to a couple amid holi celebrations. Amit Budhiraja(30) a techie originally from Delhi was working at Infosys, Bangalore alegedly killed his wife Rinku Sachedev(28) for having extramarital affair with one of her colleague at Standdard Chartered bank where she was working. He then commited suicide by hanging himself. All this just around one year from the marriage. The couple were reported to have frequent fight over Rinku’s alleged affair. This compounded when Rinku started comming home late from work. she was supposed to watch new bollywood movie RACE with one of her friend Urmila who lives nearby. Urmila visited the Rinku’s house after her repeated calls went unanswered. The house owner on the ground floor was alerted and police was informed. The house owner provided a duplicate key which helped the cops to enter the house and found that two bodies along with the suicide note.

In his sucide note Amit wrote – “I loved her a lot even though she had an affair with her colleague. I overheard their conversations when she use to lock the dorr and talk in low voice. There were also discussions on divorce. I kept quiet fearing that she might file a harrassment case against me, though I had not accepted anything from her. So I killed her”.

“So I Killed her!” I believe that love is the force which liberates rather than binds. I always believe in the saying “If you love someone set her free, if she comes back she is yours or she never was”. Looks like his believe of his wife’s extramarital affair is purely circumstancial evidence. For love he could have researched deeply or could have taken the service of detective agency. These days detective agencies are more than happy to offer their services. Could have faced her with facts, her parents, your parents and Amit could have come out without scratches even though the divorce process if he would have liked.

I am not sure if he indeed found something definite and it is understandable that this are emotional issues. However, what has happened looks little hasty or accidental. As the new out there they might had a fight on Saturday night and in a fit of rage ended his wife’s life. If indeed Amit’s wife was having an extramarital affair, the ideal thing would have been to let her go as she was never his in that case. Love becomes dangerous when it becomes obsession. I have only one thing to ask Amit, “Did you not thought of your parents once? what would they go through. You just didn’t took two lives, you also killed many people’s aspirations around you.
