Expressions-2010 is a one-day seminar on cinema and journalism, to be held on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Sri Sathya Sai Samskrutha Sadanam, Near Forum, in Bangalore.It is a great forum for students and professionals to gain insights into the world of Media and its working.

· R Balakrishnan (Balki), Co-chairman, Lowe and Director, Paa & Cheeni Kum

R.Balakrishnan, popularly known as Balki, is the man who directed
Cheeni Kum (2007), a romantic comedy. The adman is the Creative
Director of Lowe, which handles the Unilever account.

In 2009, he has another ambitious project in hand. Paa is a movie
which stars Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. Bachchan
Senior plays a boy who suffers from a condition called Progeria
which causes him to age quickly.

· Vinay Tewari, Managing Editor, CNN-IBN

Vinay Tewari heads CNN-IBN’s daily news gathering operations and
all special news events. He started his career as a reporter with
The Pioneer in Lucknow. He worked with The Times of India in
Delhi for about 9 years where he was part of the team which
launched Delhi Times before moving to reporting on crime, courts,
urban governance and politics. He joined the the TV Today Network
as Metro Editor in 2001.

· Krishna Prasad, Editor, Outlook

Krishna Prasad is best known as one of the two reporters who
exposed the alleged match-fixing scandal in Indian cricket in
Outlook magazine. He has several exposes to his credit, most
notably on the Indian nuclear programme. Krishna has worked at
The Times of India, Mid-Day, The Sunday Observer and Outlook.

· T M Chaitanya, Award-winning filmmaker and Director, Aa
Dinagalu & Suryakanthi

From an understudy to Girish Karnad, to directing him as an
actor. From a star-struck kid to making a successful debut as a
director of a film appreciated by both the masses and classes.
Chaitanya, director of Aa Dinagalu, a film based on the
underworld wars of the eighties, has indeed come a long way and
his career is all set to take off to much greater heights.

· Shashank Ghosh, Former head of Channel [V] India and
Director, Quick Gun Murugan

Shashanka Ghosh is an Indian filmmaker. As a director, he is
known for small budget films with powerful performances and a
strong story line. As a writer, he penned the story for Aisa Bhi
Hota Hai and Waisa Bhi Hota Hai Part II. He also direted the
comedy flick Quick Gun Murugan. The likes of this kind of a
fantastic combination are Waisa bhi hota hai part I and II. He is
currently completing to direct Mumbai cutting, another cult
movie.

. Jaideep Sahni, Story and screenplay writer for Chak De! India,
Rocket Singh

He won two Filmfare Awards in 2003-Best Dialogue for Saathiya and
Best Story for Company. He has written the story, screenplay, and
dialogues for various films like Jungle, Company, Khosla Ka
Ghosla, and also for the superhit film Chak De! India which
starred Shahrukh Khan in the lead role. He wrote the screenplay
and dialogues for Madhuri Dixit’s comeback film Aaja Nachle .
