Gopalan Mall

Gopalan mall on Mysore road is one of the new malls to have come up in Bangalore recently. I think this kind of malls are not created with the idea to be the best mall or so but rather to cater to a particular area. But my visit there makes me feel that Gopalan mall can achieve much more than that and can be very popular. I think they have done quite a good job and seems Gopalan mall is the best in its category which are created to cater to a particular area like Esteem mall and Cosmos Mall.

I feel Gopalan mall is trying to rate it as a discount destination with many factory outlet featuring discount sells. You can shop from factory outlets of Allen Solly, Raymond, Pantaloons, Provoge etc. There are also many other banded stores featuring discount sells like Oxemberg, Identity, Provogue, Excalibur – Flying Machine, Koutons, Siyaram’s, V.I.P, Live-In, Lee Cooper, Trigger. They have food court on the third floor featuring a Veg Restaurant, Fusion Food, Yo! China. More shops are to come soon. On the 3rd floor there is game section too with Table Tennis and Billiards. The sitting arrangement is quite good and spacious. This floor also has a store of “show off”. If you remember they have one store near Brigade Road.

Now let me give you a little idea about the structure of this Mall. It has four floors including the ground floor. The ground floor features McDonalds, Cafe Coffee Day, Reebok store(discount sells) etc. The first floor is totally with Total which is a sort of we sell everything under the sky store. They have one more store at Madiwala opposite Madiwala police station. The second floor is mainly apparel stores and the third floor is mainly a food court and some stores yet to come. The entrance of the mall is quite spacious like Forum with sitting arrangement. Gopalan mall can be a hit mall if they promote it as a low cost destination of branded items rather than just a mall catering to a particular area.
