Karnataka Government Offers Free and Concessional Student Passes This Year

Karnataka government via BMTC is offering free and concessional student passes this season. Checked the hightlights as follows:

1. Free bus pass for students from class 1 to 7. Only service charge of Rs 70 will charges. Pass will be valid for 10 months. This will also include insurance.

2. Travel limit extended from 40 km to 50 km

3. For girl students another 25% rebate

4. Travel as you like scheme: As per this scheme students can travel anywhere in the city attending tutions, part time jobs etc with 50% concession over regular fare.

5. karnataka state board students: Boys Rs 770 for 10 months and girls Rs 595

6. Central board students: Boys Rs 840 for 11 months and girls Rs 650

7. College students: PUC, Degree & Professiona – Rs 620 (5 months), Rs 1170 (10 months), Rs 1390 (12 months)

8. Technical amd Medical students: Rs 770 (5 months), Rs 1470 (10 months), Rs 1750 (12 months)

9. Evening colleges: Rs 820 (5 months), Rs 1570 (10 months), Rs 1870 (12 months)
