Karnataka Reduces Petrol, Diesel and LPG Prices

The Karnataka state government has helped reduce petrol, diesel and cooking gas(LPG) by cutting sales tax and VAT, in order to reduce the burden on people. Petrol prices has been reduced by Rs 1.35, diesel by 65 paise and LPG by Rs 10.24. Henceforth, fuel cost in the state will be as follows:

Bangalore: Rs 57.15(petrol), Rs 39.15(diesel) and Rs 348.08(LPG)

Mysore: Rs 56.76(petrol) and Rs 39.05(diesel)

It is also said that the Issue price of fuel is higher in Karnataka than neighbouring states and CM Yeddyurappa is likely to write to the union government to solve the anomaly. So if approved then people in Karnataka can expect little further reduction in fuel prices. The difference in issue price is between Rs 1 to 2.
