Mall for all!. Yes, this may be the mantra. Everybody wants to build a mall these days. Apart from good hang out place for visitors, I think it does bring money for early birds or the innovative ones. This might have led to a rush in building malls all over Bangalore. The lastest in the bandwagon is state government owned “Karnataka Sate Women’s development corporation, which is planning to construct a large mall in Bangalore’c central business district. They plan to build a three storey building including a recources and research centre and a marketing complex. on a 5 acre plot in Bannerghatta road. The foundation stone is to be laid on March 8 on international women’s day by the Governer. If the government is taking up this, they should build a innovative one and maintain it. They should not create a monolith structure like the earlier government building complex opposite Madiwala police station. Now the that building houses the Total Mall. Everybody wants a pie of the mall bounty and why should the government be left behind. Bangalore is set to be MALLED!
