Serial Bomb Blast Rocked Bangalore

Bangalore was greeted with a shocking news of bomb blast today in the afternoon. I was in office then. One of my colleage broke the news after he received a call. Then suddenly calls started pouring in. My cell was sleeping since morning as it was out of charge. However, after lunch I was able to charge it and I left the cell with security. Around 2.55 pm I took my phone and saw a whole lot of miss calls. One SMS from my one of my friends informed about the bomb blasts which took place by then at St. Johns road, in front of Mallya hospital, Nayandahalli(Mysore road), Madivala check post. The news made me little anxious. I along with few of my colleages went to the cafeteria to catch the news. By then one women had been killed who was standing at the Madivala bus stand along with her husband and 5 others were injured. The dead women has been identified as Lakshmi of around 60 years old.

Most of the blast took place within a span of 1 hour between 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm. The spots were Madiwala bus depot, Nayandahalli(Mysore road), Adugudi, Koramangla(behind Forum mall, Madivala check post), Vittal Mallaya road(in front of Mallya hospital), Langford Town and Richmond Town. Around 5.30 pm the 8th blast took place near Gopalan Mall on Mysore road and the 9th blast took place near R V Engineering College on Mysore Road at around 6.30 pm. All in all 9 blasts took place. The blasts were of low intensity and looked like were not designed to kill more people or damage. But on the contrary to create panic among the citizens of Bangalore. Altogether 2 persons are reported to have been killed and around 20 persons injured. Both the central and state government has announced compensation for the victims. Cops informed that timer devices has been used to trigger the blasts.

Most of the IT companies, School, Colleges, other companies and a few cinema halls declared holiday or shut down and asked their employees to leave for home. As usual in such cases the mobile network was jammed. Vodaphone displayed a very funny message - Cant call? SMS. Spice which do not seems to work most of the time worked today while other networks were down.

The police is reassuring the people by asking the people not to worry. But people in the areas where the blasts took place are quite shaken. They told the bombs were of low intensity. But what if they were of high intensity? Why our cops are found always lost! The Karnataka state government told that the IT hub of Bangalore were not the targets. So what the targets were? Just to create panic? The CM announced the formation of special team to investigate this matter. The government should go to the buttom of this issue and find the culprits.
