Sigma Mall

Sigma mall is located at Cunningham road, one of the posh localities of Bangalore. I heard recently that Sigma mall is not doing good and not been a huge crowd puller. This is contrary to the typical mall market which is doing exceptionally good. So I decided to check it out. After taking a little tour I discovered few things which can be attributed to why Sigma mall not doing good.

• 1. Sigma mall is not fully complete yet and few shops are still to open.
• 2. The escalators in Sigma mall are only one way – towards top.
• 3. Sigma mall do not have many crowd puller or quality shops.
• 4. I heard that sigma mall is going to host a multiplex but did not get a hint of it. These days malls without multiplexes are not a very good business idea as these multiplexes are huge crowd pullers.

Sigma mall hosts Mcdonalds, foodbazaar, cafe coffee day, pantaloons, provogue as anchor shops and a few other local shops. I think it is well understood that malls are quite well maintained and so this one too. They have parking facility. It was quite empty when I visited on one saturday afternoon. I heard Sigma mall remains empty even in weekend peak hours in comparision with other malls. However, if you are looking for space and do not like too much of crowd then this place should be fine. One can reach here via Shivajinagar, MG road, cubbon road etc.
