The Forum Mall
October 9, 2007 – 3:28 am
If a contest is drawn among all the malls in Bangalore, the undisputed king will be Forum Mall. Now one can find a mall in Bangalore in most of the localities and more are comming up. But what make Forum Mall more attractive is its huge range of offer, strategic location, large floor place, ample parking, visitor friendliness. Forum Shopping Mall, one of the first malls to have come up in Bangalore has done its homework very well. It has checked all the criterias which increase foot falls and as well retain them. On weekends Forum Mall almost resembles like a mini Mela(an Indian term for fair). After buying food often you will have to criss cross the food court for sometime before you can locate an empty table. It is this sea of crowd that often stops me from visiting forum Mall. But this is a bonnanza situation, any promoter of a mall would like to see.
PVR cinema is a multiplex on the 3rd floor of mall featuring 11 screens. They play english, hindi and probaly all south Indian movies. Movies are a big crowd puller and add a large chunk of foot falls to any mall. PVR Cinema and Forum Mall has complemented each other very well. Here one can expect most of the shopping needs(no vegitables though!) under one roof along with large choice of food featuring KFC, Pizza Hut etc. They have a website so I will just let you check all of this there. To visit their website, click here.
Forum has two ways to get in and exit, one from the Hosur road side and other from the Big Bazaar side. On the ground floor you will find a circle decorated with artifcial trees. This place features many events, sometime promotional, exibition etc.
An antic exibition was going on my last visit there featuring old guns from the 18th century, early sea voyage ships etc. Probably you will find most of the brands over here. I would recommend you to try the food court “The Transit”. It features various food stalls like – Seafood Bay, Maxchikin, Bejing bytes, salem chicken etc. One can find various kind of cusine there. One special mention “Sahib, Sind and Sultan” on the second floor is a good place to have food. Good interior featuring a train comming to sell food and leave once lunch time or dinner time is over. And yes Yummy food.
I still see the auto terminal put on demand is there, though I have not tried that, I hope it still running. Now a days its fashion for autorikshaws to ask extra if you are comming out of a mall. All in all a very good place to spend an evening. If you do not like too much crowd then you may not visit here often but whenever you will visit you will not repent it.
