  2. stop this nonsense!!!How a hell can karunya come on the top and colleges like amrita come bottom!!just ask some one with brains and they will tell you what is all these karunya and shastra!!!

By human on Jun 24, 2008

  3. @ human - Well this is a survey done by Outlook and they have graded the institutes according to the questions they have asked. I dont think I will be able to throw more light than this.

  4. The oulook india survey of Top Professional colleges following the LiveMint Survey has reconfirmed the fact that when it comes to institutions standing on their own legs without the crutches of the government,BITS Pilani holds the head high and undoubtedly one among the top ranking universities in India today with global reputation.

  5. surely a nonsense,
AMRITA ranked at 21 it deserves to be in top 10 and it is . Colleges like sastra, karunya, mepsco,ICFAI,gurgaon, kongu??
how the hell do they deserve to be above amrita?

  6. what the hell is this survay.how can u rank bbd lucknow before jss, galgotia and kiet. did’nt u hear ever about them.

  7. There was a time when M S ramaiah, BMS where the one of the top private colleges. But with the time they didn’t improved there infrastructure ,placements, type of course offering. As far as SASTRA is concerned it has improved every thing tremendously each and every year. After getting deemed status in 2001, just because of it’s performance it became university in 2007. I am not surprised by seeing SASTRA at 10th position if VIT has got ranking of 6th. Since, both colleges have got a little difference in there policies. Some month before SASTRA has been positioned no 1 college for it’s Biotech programme.

  8. This is total nonsense… how can these people put the colleges in a list just by having a survey by talking to people…. ramdeo baba college nagpur has always been above every college of nagpur and it still is…. i jus want this guys to go through the statistics and then put up the list… the college is above every college in placements, faculty, events, academics and the results too…people get annoyed jus coz they dont get admission in institutes like srknec and say that their college is better… so guys better go through the statistics first then put up the list……

  26. See first of all you have to understand one thing SASTRA has been accredited with A grade by NAAC and with 131 resarch papers in leading journals and the type of infrastructural facilities especially for Bio & Nano technology
    see Dr.kalam’s message
    http://www.sastra.edu/mnews/2008/oct/abdulkalam.htm
TIFAC had chosen SASTRA for establishing the first TIFAC (Centre for Research and Excellence in Information Technology) specializing in advanced computing and information processing. During the last five years, this TIFAC-CORE has provided over thousand post-graduate technologists to the IT industry. In addition, SASTRA has a reputed bio-technology centre which has been able to question the validity of Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) articles on metallic contents in Indian herbal products. This expertise has been recognized by Harvard and Boston school and these institutions have shown their interest in becoming partners of SASTRA in carrying out studies on metallic contents
