Nandini Jumani was born in Assam in 1984. While pursuing her post graduation at University of Pune she got a wind of glamour world. She mentioned on her site that she trained under Bollywood dancer Saroj Khan and took acting classes from Satyadev Dubey. Her main genre is seducing dancing in item numbers.

Like every year this year the precursory to miss world contest, the Miss India has been chosen through the Femina miss India contest. And Femina Miss India 2011 is Kanishtha Dhankhar from Mumbai who will represent India in Miss World contest. The 1st runner up is Ankita Shorey too from Mumbai who was adjudged as Miss India International. Delhi girl Hasleen Kaur was the second runner up and adjudged as Miss India Earth.
This is the 47th year of Femina Miss India contest which took place in Mumbai. The grand finale of Miss India 2011 can be watched on Sony Entertainment Television on Sunday, 24th April, from 8pm onwards.
